Microsoft studio boss Matt Booty provided an update on the new Fable game, which is being developed at Forza Horizon studio Playground Games. At PAX West, Booty said he understands that people might get confused about making an RPG at one of Microsoft’s flagship racing game studios, but stressed that the team making the game really knows what Fable is all about.
“Part of my job is to provide the team with aerial cover. They don’t want to show things up front until they’re ready. But if there’s a game that’s turned upside down, every time I see something, I’m like, ‘We should Show this! “It’s an allegory,” Bootie said. “Because there’s a lot of cool stuff. The team has made it clear that I can’t show anything until I’m ready. But what I’m saying is, my craftsmanship and dedication [Playground] Take to Forza Horizon, and every bit will be applied to Fable.and them get it. “
He added: “Honestly, it might have been a bit of a headache to hand the Fable to the racing team. But they’ve proven they get it, and I’m excited to be able to show more when the time comes.”
Matt Booty was very excited about Fable and wanted to show it, but the team had made it clear that he wasn’t allowed to show it until it was ready.

Microsoft’s new Fable game has been in the works for over four years. However, all that has been revealed so far is a very brief CG trailer.
The series was created by Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios before Microsoft shut down the game studio in 2016. The Fable series has not had a mainline entry since Fable III in 2010.
The new Fable game has attracted a number of key employees, including Will Kennedy (GTA V) as lead designer, Juan Fernández de Simón (Hellblade) as lead game designer, and Adam Olsson (The Division 2) as lead environment artist. Anna Megill, lead writer for Remedy Entertainment’s Control and narrative director for Arkane Studios’ Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, has revealed that she will lead the fable writing team.
