In 2020, the Sony Group was established $100 million Global Social Justice Fund Support social justice and anti-racism initiatives around the world. As part of the Sony Group, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has committed more than $11 million in total to promote racial justice within and beyond the gaming industry.
Through SIE’s Social Justice Initiative and our PlayStation Career Path, we are supporting organizations and efforts focused on enhancing educational and career opportunities for historically disadvantaged communities. Our goal is to drive a new era of creativity, development and growth in the gaming industry, leading to greater diversity and representation.
Today, I am very excited share update Our PlayStation Career Pathways partnership and SIE’s Social Justice Fund portfolio as we continue to work to drive change locally, nationally and globally. This is just one more step as we continue to work to make the Sony Interactive Entertainment and video game industry more diverse, inclusive and accessible.
