Mario Kart Tour is Nintendo’s mobile game so popular that it brought in about $293 million in revenue for the company.

This is according to the sensor tower (thanks GI.biz), where the reported number was generated within three years of publication.

It’s a fairly popular game, with Mario Kart Tour being downloaded more than 20 million times worldwide on Android and iOS in its first week.

With the news of this sizable number comes Nintendo’s news Plans to remove loot boxes from the game.

According to the company, the feature will be replaced by Spotlight Shop with an update in late September. The shop is where players exchange rubies for drivers, karts, and gliders.

With the update, a battle mode will also be added to the game, and the pipes you can fire with rubies will be removed.

Mario Kart Tour is the first iteration of the series on mobile devices and includes new and original tracks inspired by real-world cities like New York, Paris and Tokyo. It also offers new content for the classic course.
