Phantom Liberty will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Stadia in 2023. It won’t release for PS4/Xbox One, as CD Projekt Red will be wrapping up new updates for those platforms.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the new 1.6 update, released today (September 6), will be the last major patch for Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One. This update adds equippable items from the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime to the game.

“Players will have the opportunity to don the jacket worn by animated protagonist David Martinez and use a shotgun used by another character on the show,” the studio said in a press release. “In addition to items inspired by Edgerunners, the update brings a host of features to the game, including a costume transmog system, cross-platform progression, a playable Roach Race mini-game arcade cabinet, and more.”

Cyberpunk 2077’s December 2020 launch wasn’t the smoothest, but it went on to sell 18 million copies, making it one of the most commercially successful RPGs in video game history.

As for upcoming projects, CD Projekt is currently working on the next Witcher game, which will run on Epic’s Unreal Engine 5. For more, check out GameSpot’s roundup of all Unreal Engine 5 games below.
