Will the Apple Watch Pro look different?
Apple seems to like design consistency. So it makes sense that the next Apple Watch, or at least one version, will mimic the look we’ve come to expect from the iPhone 14.
What can we expect?
According to a new report makotakalathe next Apple special event (which we found out earlier than expected and will take place on Wednesday, September 7) may be the first time since 2017 that we’ve heard those rare words, “one more thing.”
Apple has retained this phrase, coined by Steve Jobs and rarely used in Apple keynotes, for special announcements such as the first Apple Watch (debuting in fall 2014) and the iPhone X (2017 year).
Personally, my guess is that they’ll leave them for the first mixed reality headset, but maybe Macotakara is right and we’ll meet their predicted new variant of the Apple Watch, believed to be called the Apple Watch Pro .
So, what will it look like? finally flat?
The jury is still out on this, but several commentators believe the Pro will feature flat displays like the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and presumably the iPhone 14.
This will be a big departure from all previous Apple Watch models. The design of the flat-front Apple Watch has been leaked before, and many believe the Apple Watch Series 7 will adopt it. but it is not the truth. In this case, will 2022 be the year we see this design, at least for the Pro model?
frequent leakers like Shrimp Apple Pro Think so, but Mark Gurman and Bloomberg believe the new model will be an evolution of the current design rather than a more radical change.
However, there are some good reasons to expect a flat screen. For example, the Pro is aimed at extreme sports enthusiasts and is therefore designed to be more durable and sturdier than regular watches.
One of the benefits of the current iPhone design, Apple says, is that it is more resilient, thanks to cliff-edge sides and a flatter front. So presumably the same can be said for flatter watches.
How about the size?
Apple experts agree on one thing: the Apple Watch Pro will be bigger. Ross Young It has been said that it will feature a 1.99-inch display, which is larger than the 1.77-inch screen on the 45mm Series 7, which roughly translates to a case size of 47mm.
Are there other benefits?
Yes, a bigger watch means more room for the battery and therefore longer battery life.
Is there anything negative?
Well, that could mean a lot higher prices. Especially since that’s going to come down to the fact that the Pro is made of titanium, which is currently limited to the pricier Apple Watch version. Oh, and in this case, that could mean the end of the Apple Watch Edition. I think it would be a shame.
But that’s all up in the air. We’ll find out all on September 7th (though you may have to watch the keynote until the end), and if there are any other leaks before then, I’ll cover them here.
