A 34-year-old newlywed couple on their honeymoon is one of hundreds of men arrested for prostitution in Florida, according to authorities.

According to the press release, most of the 176 men arrested face charges related to soliciting prostitutes. Some of these cases involved men seeking sex with underage victims.

“When I became sheriff, I committed to fighting illegal prostitution and protecting the citizens of Hillsborough County from the predators among us,” Sheriff Cronister said in a statement. statement“Human trafficking squads have acquired all the resources they need to rescue victims, who often find themselves in dark and dangerous lives with no way out.”

Turovsky has not been charged with involvement in human trafficking or minors.

However, the sheriff’s office said the 10 men arrested had inappropriate conversations, often sharing photos and videos, and undercover detectives posing as underage boys or girls.

The arrests also include two human trafficking suspects, including two missing and endangered teens, who traveled from Massachusetts to Tampa, Florida, according to the release. Authorities said the missing teen was in protective custody.

HCSO’s Human Trafficking Squad has rescued eight human trafficking victims since the squad’s inception in June 2021.
