Krispy Kreme will launch a special limited-edition Artemis Moon doughnut on Monday, the day NASA is expected to launch a rocket designed to eventually carry people on an uncrewed test flight around the moon. The Artemis I mission is the first step in NASA’s first manned lunar landing in 50 years.

According to a press release shared with CNN, the moon launch doughnut is filled with cheesecake-flavored cream and dipped in cookie and buttercream frosting. The frosted swirl mimics the moon’s rocky surface.

The doughnuts will be available at Krispy Kreme stores across the country on Monday.

“Artemis I’s mission is a proud moment, and we’re in awe of the amazing Americans behind the world’s most powerful rocket. That’s why we made these delicious doughnuts for you to enjoy while watching the launch ,” said Dave Skena, the brand’s global chief executive officer, in the release.

“The Orion spacecraft on top of the rocket will stay in space longer than any spacecraft without astronauts docked to the space station, but our Artemis lunar donuts will only be available on Monday, so start the countdown and don’t miss!”
