Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, reacts to the release of the Mar-a-Lago search affidavit, asking: “That should be enough, isn’t it?”

Ms. Trump, who has long been a public critic of the former president, appeared to call for criminal prosecution of him in her tweets.

Federal investigators used a redacted search warrant to persuade Judge Bruce Reinhardt to authorize a search of the estate earlier this month, and he was released on Friday.

The former president again attacked his Florida estate for top-secret documents he took from the White House, insisting: “We gave them a lot.”

Then he made a second post that read: “Witch Hunt!!!”

“The affidavit is heavily redacted!!! No mention of ‘Nuclear’, PR shenanigans of the FBI and DOJ, or our close working relationship on file turnaround – we give them a lot.”

Mr. Trump also took aim at Judge Reinhardt, who authorized the search on Aug. 8, accusing him of “hostility and hatred” for the one-term president.

“Judge Bruce Reinhardt should never have been allowed to break into my home. He recused himself from one of my cases two months ago due to his hostility and hatred of your favorite president, me. Happened What changed? Why didn’t he sidestep the case? Obama must be very proud of him now!”

Mr Trump and many of his Republican supporters have claimed the raid was political and ordered by the White House to target Joe Biden’s possible 2024 opponent.

Mr Biden has vehemently denied any prior knowledge of the raid, which was approved by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The affidavit said the federal investigation began following a criminal referral from the National Archives, which was sent to the Justice Department in February.

Ms. Trump has previously suggested that Jared Kushner, who is married to her cousin, may be the “mole” who reported the documents to federal agents.

Mr. Kushner has vehemently denied the allegation.

“First of all, by all accounts, it’s definitely not true,” he said on a podcast with former Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

“But I think it’s more of a statement about the miserable state of the media, where the more outlandish it is – especially if it includes me – the more the media will report and make the headlines.”
