Horrific footage has captured the moment a man allegedly tried to kidnap a six-year-old girl from his Ohio front yard, then walked carelessly down the street as the child ran into her home screaming.
Video from a Ring doorbell camera shows the little girl throwing trash into a trash can at the end of the Hamilton home’s garden.
A man, later identified as Deric McPherson, 33, walked up to her and appeared to try to grab the little girl.
When the six-year-old managed to escape, the suspect appeared to give up and took a few steps before turning towards her, grabbing her wrists and trying to pull her onto the pavement.
In the video, the terrified little girl is heard giving a creepy scream as she manages to break free and runs back into the house to find her parents.
The suspect can be seen peacefully strolling down the street.
The suspect also groped the little girl during the attempted kidnapping, according to court documents and the victim’s parents.
The victim’s mother told WLWT Her daughter ran into the house and told her that someone had touched her and tried to kidnap her.
“All I heard was creepy screams,” she said.

“I came in and was like, ‘What’s wrong? What’s wrong?’ She said, ‘Someone tried to kidnap me. Someone tried to take me, and he grabbed my private parts.
The child’s father walked to find the perpetrator, then jumped into his car to try to find him.
Separate surveillance footage then captured Mr McPherson trying to hide between vehicles at a nearby car shop.
Hamilton police were called to the scene and arrested the 33-year-old man.
He has been charged with aggravated sexual conduct and kidnapping and is being held in the Butler County Jail.

The little girl’s parents said they had previously spoken to their daughter about what to do if a stranger approached her and tried to kidnap her.
They believe the six-year-old acted to save her from being taken by her attackers.
“I always tell her if someone touches her, talk to her or grab her, create a scene, scream as loudly as you can and fight,” her father told the outlet.
“She screamed bloody murder and pulled towards him and away from him.”
