Man rescued after falling 100 feet when cliff crumbled at California beach
On Friday, a man fell more than 100 feet as he stood on a cliff and collapsed. The rescue team was able to pull him to safety, CAL FIRE San Mateo tweetand a rescue video.
At dawn, the man was walking along a cliff above Moss Beach, California, authorities said. After falling about 100 feet, he called for help. A woman heard him around 8:30 a.m. local time and called 911.
About 22 minutes later, rescuers pulled the unidentified man up. It is unclear if the man was injured in the fall, but he appears to be able to walk.
“Avoid cliff edges as they are unstable,” tweeted CAL FIRE.
