Super Troopers received laughs from the audience when it premiered at Sundance, but if you were to judge it by its Rotten Tomatoes ratings and reviews, you’d think it failed. Writer, director, comedian and most recently founder Jay Chandrasekhar has never felt right about the criticism of random strangers online. So he set out to create Vouch Vault, an app where friends can recommend media, restaurants, and products to each other, and users can trust the reviews because they come from people with similar tastes. He talks to Darrell and Jordan about funding a tech company the Hollywood way and how he thinks about changing user behavior.
