
Ford will begin taking orders for the 2023 Mustang Mach-E on August 30, but potential customers may be surprised by the all-electric SUV’s new pricing.
company Say(opens in new window) It is “adjusting the suggested retail price of the Mustang Mach-E” and “will continue to monitor pricing throughout the model year” due to significantly higher material costs, continued pressure on key supply chains and rapidly changing market conditions.
tram Report(opens in new window) The 2023 Mach-E will cost $2,600 to $8,000 more than the previous model year. The outlet also noted that the conditions Ford cited in its announcement resulted in higher prices for nearly all vehicles entering the market.
But it’s not all bad news for would-be Mach-E owners. Compared to previous versions, “Starting in the fall, Premium models built with Extended Range batteries will achieve a target EPA-estimated range of 290 miles on all-wheel-drive models, up to 13 miles,” Ford said.
The company also said its electric vehicles are more popular than ever in the U.S., with sales of its product line up 168.7% in July. The Mach-E in particular rose 74.1 percent, Ford said, making it the second-best-selling all-electric SUV in the country.
