Former President Donald Trump has mocked the Department of Justice (DOJ) for a heavily redacted search warrant affidavit used as the basis for the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

The Justice Department released the affidavit on Friday after Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, who granted the search warrant, ordered the affidavit unsealed on Thursday. However, the released affidavit was heavily redacted after Judge Reinhardt found the federal government had provided “good reasons” to keep some of the documents private.

The amendments were implemented “to protect the safety of multiple civilian witnesses,” according to the Justice Department filing.

Trump mocks the highly redacted document statement The affidavit was released hours after it was released.

“They missed a page,” Trump said, along with an edited version of the document, with all but four words removed: Make America Great Again.

In a statement earlier Friday, Trump described the heavily redacted document as a “PR ruse by the FBI and the Justice Department.”trump card Say:

The affidavit is heavily edited! There’s no mention of “nuclear,” the PR shenanigans of the FBI and DOJ, or our close working relationship on document turnaround — we give them a lot. Judge Bruce Reinhardt should never have allowed a break into my home.

“Two months ago, he recused himself from one of my cases based on his hostility and hatred of your favorite president, me. What has changed? Why doesn’t he shy away from this case? Obama must feel very bad for him now Proud,” Trump continued.

Trump wasn’t alone in mocking the heavily redacted affidavit on social media.

“Well, that really clears things up,” Donald Trump Jr. posted a screenshot of three pages of redacted text from the affidavit.

Other content creators post Redactions were made to the redacted document, including one that replaced the “e” in the Joe Biden presidential campaign logo with an edited line.

Based on the fact that Trump voluntarily provided 15 boxes of materials to the federal government, the Justice Department believes Trump may have improperly stored classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, the affidavit said.

“Furthermore, there are probable reasons to believe that other documents containing classified NDIs or presidential records that meet record retention requirements are currently still on the premises,” the affidavit said.
